In February 2004 as four of us gathered for our intimate Bible study, the other three from heaven with which to worship Him (up until then I had only composed a few) and for these songs to go around the world. What has happened since has been beyond my wildest expectations. It is all GOD. The next day after their prayers I "heard" the first of what so far has been over 350 new songs. At first the music was used for worship time at the Bible study through which it was birthed, then in February of 2005 the LORD gave me a vision. I was to get this worship music and a patriotic Christian song (STAND UP) He had given me specifically to encourage our troops and our country to those fighting the War on Terror. This vision was the impetus of seeking out a way to get the music recorded. Now these songs are available to bless not just our troops & their families but to bless you as well. And there are now 5 full-length worship CDs. ASCEND IN WORSHIP is the first. People tell me there is an anointing of His peace on the music. Here is how I believe it came about. As is common when we are first beginning to walk out our prophetic destinies, I faced the seemingly insurmountable obstacle of my own fears and insecurities to getting this project done. There were many lies screaming in my head about how incompetent I was to the task and how foolish I was to pursue it. From a worldly perspective I lacked everything I needed. I had no professional training in music (both vocal and instrumental), had no contacts in the music world and no contacts in the military (to whom the Holy Spirit had instructed me to deliver the music), etc. The mental battle while in the studio when I began recording was so great that to keep going I had to declare into the atmosphere over and over that God had told me to proceed and until He told me to stop I would keep going - no matter what. It was sheer determined, persevering obedience because our GOD is greater than all. As a blessing and encouragement, our Lord then gave me a vision of Himself in the corner of the studio and from that moment on I sang only to and for Jesus when I recorded. Since from a worldly perspective, I was and am incompetent to the task God has given me, and since anything done in our own strength is worthless from an eternal perspective, I asked Him to put His anointing on the recording. In other words, if there is anything good about it, if it ministers to listeners at all, let it be known that it was and is all by the power of His Holy Spirit. God has answered my prayers!!! May the music minister to you in a deeply personal way as well which draws you closer to Him! Elizabeth GOD releases power when we worship. We need His power and touch in our world more than ever.
