military came into the studio to sing on the choruses as "troops and the
people singing for troops".

on Capitol Hill.  In addition, General David Petraeus received two
personal copies of STAND UP.
November 2007- a return to D.C. Veteran's Day weekend to bring
STAND UP to our wounded and those who support our troops.
Conducted a day retreat for volunteers who give so much to our
wounded on understanding God's purpose and their purpose in His.
KYCC helped out by airing STAND UP and another interview on
Veteran's Day.
January 2008 - over 100 copies of STAND UP & new worship CD, WALK
ON WATER gifted to Gold star families in California (who have lost a
loved one in the war).
yet, the Lord has given me a mission to bring encouragement and more of
Christ to our military and their families.  Here is how it all began:

In February 2004 friends felt led by the Holy Spirit to pray over me to begin receiving
new worship songs from the Lord.  The first song was composed the next day.  (In the
three years since there have been over 200 new worship songs.)

In
April 2004 while on a walk, I told the Lord to have “someone” compose a song for
the War on Terror from a spiritual perspective.
Ten minutes later the chorus to
such a song began flooding my mind.  By the end of the walk, the Lord had given me
the first verse as well. The song called
STAND UP was completed the next day. I sang it
into a cassette recorder and mailed it to the President, thinking my work was done.

In Feb 2005, I committed to pray for a young man being deployed to Iraq, then turned
to go.
The Lord gave me a powerful vision: a canvas sheet was lowered from
heaven like a tent over a group of our troops marching in formation in the desert. As
the tent covered them, the Lord spoke to my heart.  If I would get the song for the
troops,
Stand Up, and some of the new worship music over to our deployed, then He
would be their covering; He would hem them in before, behind and on both sides as
never before; He would be the banner over them and their standard-bearer.  Their
obedient act of worship would bring forth an increase of His sovereign protection and
there would be fewer casualties.  By their worship, His Light would shine into the dark
places and reveal where the enemy was hiding.

All this passed before my eyes in an instant, but has determined every step I have
taken since!
I had to find a way to get the music to our troops!  But I had no idea
how...I was not a trained singer or musician.  I was a wife, mother and homemaker living
the suburban life.  My professional background was financial planning.  I had no music
industry experience.

But I could not ignore the vision…The remainder of 2005 I knocked on too many doors
to count trying to figure out how the Lord wanted me to get the music to our troops.  As
each door closed (and they all did!), the Lord was showing me clearly how I was NOT to
do it.   Every evening, alone in the car after dropping off our children at their respective
activities, I would crank up the volume and worship and intercede that God would make
the way – His way to bring the vision into fulfillment.

One night in
January 2006, after almost a year of trying to obey the vision with no
progress, I crouched down before the Lord in prayer, telling Him He must provide
breakthrough.  I promised that whatever door He would open, no matter what it was, I
would walk through it.  The next day the Lord led a friend to call me about a new
Christian recording studio in her area within driving distance of our home.

To my amazement,
the studio agreed to work with me.  However, had the Lord not
closed every other door, had I not promised the Lord in desperation just the night
before that I would walk through whatever door He provided, I never would have had
the courage to even call the studio, let alone record.

All 2006 the studio labored with me to produce the music to fulfill the vision. In
obedience two CDs were professionally produced:  a single of the song for the troops
recorded as a patriotic march initially called,
We Will Fight For Freedom; and
Ascend In Worship, which includes 11 of the new worship songs.

In
December 2006, We Will Fight For Freedom aired for the first time on the radio
on a military program in the state of Washington, thanks to the efforts of one of my
father’s U.S. Naval Academy classmates.

Shortly thereafter God laid two new tasks on my heart: to
gift as many copies as
possible of the march rendition of the song to
children of the deployed to
thank them for their parent's service (to date over 600 have been gifted through
charities) and to
re-record the song for this generation of military as a rock
anthem
. For this recording the song was officially re-named, STAND UP.

To honor our nation and troops the new recording of STAND UP began President’s
Day weekend, February 2007
.  Now came the next seemingly impossible assignment
from the Lord: to have individuals representing each branch of our military accompany
me on the choruses so that the new recording included
troops singing for troops.  In
faith, I booked the studio for May 19, 2007 and began my search for the individuals
God intended.  Seemingly endless emails and phone calls later, one-by-one God
provided: exactly one representative from each branch and just in time.
There was no
time for auditions, so all were invited to record without ever having heard
them sing
.  Besides, if these were the individuals God provided, then they must be
perfect to the task!  And they were…

To top it off, we learned that
May 19, 2007 was Armed Forces Day – the perfect
day to record for the troops, by the troops!
 Our singers included: retired Air
Force, active duty Coast Guard, former Marine, former Navy, and the parents of a
current deployed Army (who stood in for their Army son as well as all military families).
In addition a woman whose now-deceased father was a Korean War vet sang on behalf
of all the generations who have gone before to the current generation of military and
another woman as a mother of young children sang on behalf of the generations to
come that there has always been a price for freedom.

STAND UP was completed in August 2007.  In another new open door, August 18, 2007,
working with a local church I will conduct a
'Spiritual Spa: Exfoliating Worry' - a day
retreat for women who support our troops.  Targeted towards military moms,
wives, fiances and any other woman worried about our troops, the focus is learning
through Scripture, worship and special exercises how to "Exfoliate Worry" God’s way.
The new rock
STAND UP will be premiered to the public at this retreat.

God was faithful to fulfill the next seemingly impossible task as well.  He told me to seek
radio airplay for the song for Patriots Day, September 11, 2007.  KYCC Christian radio,
headquartered in Stockton, California rose to the task and not only aired the song
9/11/07, but conducted an on-air interview as well.  They repeated the positive
message to support our troops and their families for Veteran's Day by airing
STAND UP
again as well as a new on-air interview and
STAND UP CDs were donated for a on-air
giveaway for military families.

January 2008 over 100 copies of
STAND UP and the new worship CD, Walk On
Water
(which includes the worship song, "You Carry Me", dedicated to the families
of our fallen heroes) were gift wrapped by junior high students at a local Christian
school, then delivered with the help of an area pastor into the hands over 100 of these
Gold Star families.

Thanks to a donation, the non-profit
Eagle's Nest Foundation was established Sept.
2007.  Its purpose is to provide a convenient way for those called to partner with us
financially to participate in helping get the music and Scripture-based materials into the
hands of those for whom the LORD purposed it. Currently, there are three projects on
my heart - each of which will be fulfilled in the order and timing according to how He
opens doors and financially provides. 1)  Fulfill the initial vision: get
STAND UP and
Ascend In Worship
to our deployed.  Ideally this would be accompanied by a
teaching called
"The POWer of Worship".  2) Gift Walk On Water (which includes
the worship song, You Carry Me, dedicated to the families of our fallen heroes) and
copies of
THE TREE and STAND UP into the hands of our Gold Star families (who have
had a loved one die in the war).  4) Sponsor
retreats for Gold Star families as well as
the wounded and their families called,
"Finding Purpose" which teaches God's purpose
as well as ours and encourages these individuals to find a new reason for living now
that the unthinkable has happened by seeking to hear/learn God's will for their lives.

The story of what God is going to do with this music is not done.  Step-by-step God
WILL get it done.  Read our
BLOG to keep up with the story.  Please pray if you are to
be a part and please pray for this ministry!

For His glory!
